It was such a pleasure to take portraits of Cristina and her beautiful young daughter, Mia. They are just so sweet together and the camera loves them both!

And Helen’s park in Bellaire is a beautiful place for family portraits. Especially as the sun is just getting low in the sky. Everything just glows.

A clever trick to get kids of this age to relax and have a little fun for their individual portraits is to ask them to strike a new pose every time they hear the camera click. It worked like a charm! How adorable is she?

And sometimes it’s as simple as asking for their sweetest smile.
